About Stijn Elshout

Stijn Elshout

As a Belgian-born photographer hailing from the small town Landen, Stijn specializes in the art of street, portrait, and fine art nude photography. Through a unique combination of technical skill, artistic insight, and a deep appreciation for the beauty of the human form, he creates works that explore themes of purity, authenticity, and the unguarded moments that define the human experience.

In the pursuit of his art, Stijn seeks to capture the essence of his subjects, revealing the raw, unfiltered truth of the moment. His technique is one of connection, where the photographer and subject are bound together in a moment of genuine intimacy. The resulting images are a testament to the power of this interaction, revealing the fragile, real, and often vulnerable nature of his subject.

Through a lens that sees the world differently, this artist draws inspiration from the inherent beauty of the human body, as well as the rich tapestry of the human experience. From nude fine art to everyday life, he captures the moments that define our existence with an unparalleled sensitivity, revealing the beauty of our struggles and triumphs.

This artist's work is distinguished by his use of black and white photography, which imbues each image with a timeless, classical feel. In a world that is often chaotic and unpredictable, his work serves as a reminder of the beauty that can be found in simplicity, authenticity, and the power of human connection. He has international experience and publications in various magazines. Notably, only one of his eyes is fully functional, which has shaped the way he sees the world around him. While this could be seen as a limitation, he embraces it as an opportunity to view things from a different angle and capture images that might not have been seen otherwise.

Stijn draws inspiration from the work of renowned artists like Peter Lindbergh and David Bellemere, whose style has greatly influenced his own approach on photography. With a deep appreciation for the power of human connection, they seek to capture the essence of their subjects in a raw and authentic way. Pursuing his dreams he had the incredible opportunity to work as an assistant for David Bellemere on a fashion project and collaborate with one of the assistants of Peter Lindbergh.

Drawing on his rich artistic heritage and personal experiences, this photographer's goal is to inspire others to appreciate the beauty that surrounds them, to embrace their own fragility and realness, and to celebrate the unique qualities that make us who we are. Through his art, he aims to create a lasting impact on the world, one image at a time.
